Examples and common questions

How do I pair 12 people?

Paste 12 names, one per line, and choose Pairs. You get 6 pairs and each person appears exactly once.

What if there is an odd number of people?

Everyone included creates one trio and the remaining pairs. With reserve selected, pairs are created and one randomly chosen person stays in reserve.

Is this a Secret Santa name draw?

No. This tool creates shared pairs or groups. Secret Santa assigns a secret gift recipient to each person; S2D has a separate tool for that.

Can I share the result?

Yes. Copy the full text or download a square or Story image. Large results are split into pages so no names are cut off. Sending an image makes the names on it visible to others.
